Nairobi - Samburu - Treetops - Lake Nakuru - Maasai Mara - Cairo - Aswan - On the Nile - Luxor

This is part of the "High Dam" and a statue to the Soviet Union, which helped build the dam.

The view of the nile from our room at the Sara hotel. We called it "the Unfinished Hotel"

This is typical of many residences underconstruction in Egypt. They just keep adding stories on a square brick frame. This view is from the Sara but much of the country seems booming with these multi-story buildings being started or being built upon.

This would have been the biggest obelisk ever but it cracked before it was finished.

The temple at Philae has been moved and recreated because the original island is under Lake Nasser now.
